Wyoming Hunting
Surrounded by the Sierra Madre and Snowy Range Mountains in south central Wyoming, the Silver Spur Ranches consist of 55,000-deeded acres with permits to hunt BLM and National Forest areas. Habitats consist of willow lined creek and river bottoms, native hay meadows, pivot irrigated fields in either oats, barley or alfalfa, rolling sage brush hills with deep draws, and mountain sides with open aspen pockets and dark timber.

Most of the land is in a contiguous parcel which allows herds of big game to become resident herds. Elevations range from 6,900 feet on the North Platte River bottoms to 8,600 feet in the mountains. Several creeks and the North Platte and Encampment Rivers flow through the Ranch.
Spur Outfitters offers draw hunts in Wyoming for elk, mule deer, and pronghorn antelope. Mountain lion and black bear are offered over the counter, based on area quotas.
