Our Operation
Surrounded by the Sierra Madre and Snowy
Range mountains in south central Wyoming, the Silver Spur Ranches
consist of 55,000 deeded acres with permits to hunt BLM and
National Forest areas. Habitat consists of willow-lined
creek and river bottoms, native hay meadows, pivot irrigated
fields in either oats, barley or alfalfa, rolling sage brush
hills with deep draws and mountain slopes with open aspen pockets
and dark timber.
Most of the land is in a contiguous parcel which allows herds of big game to become resident herds. Elevations range from 6,900 feet on the North Platte River bottoms to 8,600 feet in the mountains. Several creeks and the North Platte and Encampment Rivers flow through the ranch.
The Colorado Silver Spur Ranches are located in the North Park area of Colorado near the town of Walden. They are bordered on the west by the Zirkel Wilderness Area and on the east by the Colorado State Forest. This 64,382 deeded acre ranch includes the Canadian, Michigan, North Fork and North Platte Rivers. Habitats consist of willow covered river bottoms, native hay fields, rolling sagebrush hills, hogbacks and deep draws with open aspen pockets and dark timber. All with good access. The most unique aspect of the Walden Ranches is that hunting elevations range from 8,100 feet to 9,000 feet.

Spur Outfitters, LLC, offers draw hunts in Wyoming for elk, mule deer, and pronghorn antelope. Mountain lion and black bear are offered over the counter and are based on area quotas. In Colorado, Ranching for Wildlife tags are guaranteed for moose, elk, mule deer and pronghorn antelope.
For archers, any of our Wyoming hunts can be offered as archery hunts. Let us know your preference when you book your hunt.
Our experienced guides are certified in CPR and First Aid. They are eager to show our clients an exciting and complete hunting trip, not based solely on the kill, but on the total outdoor experience.
